Victoria is a versatile trench-inspired dress coat blending classic tailoring with playful modularity. The detachable cape is its standout feature and can be worn for added drama or removed for a minimalist silhouette. The cape attaches along the neckline and shoulders, and you can easily personalize the look by experimenting with contrasting linings, decorative topstitching, or statement buttons.

The pattern includes two skirt lengths: one that sits above the knee for a classic, modern silhouette and one that sits below the knee for a more refined, elongated look. You can further customize the hemline by curving it subtly to complement your proportions and styling preferences.

The long version has long sleeves, a back slit, and epaulettes, but no cape or lining. The knee-length version has no sleeves or epaulettes, but has a lining and cape.

Fabric Recommendations:
Victoria works best in medium-weight, structured woven fabrics with some drape. Consider using fabrics such as cotton twill, gabardine, tweed, wool, denim, or lightweight canvas. For the dress coat lining, choose lightweight fabrics such as Tencel, twill, voile, cotton lawn, sateen cotton, polyester, lightweight satin, charmeuse, or silk.

For the cape lining, choose smooth, lightweight fabrics such as rayon, Bemberg, cotton lawn, polyester, or a lightweight silk habotai.
